"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."
Psalm 46:10

Quite literally, I have a terrible time being still. Whether I am sitting or standing I am consistently moving - shaking a foot, bouncing a leg or swaying back and forth. When I taught, I usually bounced a ball. You might say that I am a bit fidgety. With this in mind, you will understand why the past week has been difficult for me. I have been on a "travel ban" as my wife and I anticipate the birth of our 2nd child (due this Thursday 4/7). As such, you will notice that the only picture for "Where in the District was Chris?" is my office. Sigh.

As administrators, we are wired to "go." Even if we weren't wired as such, the job does not allow us to be still. There are issues to deal with, parents to call back, and students who have made poor choices. There are meetings to attend, budgets to prepare, and reports due to the State. The administrative life is one of constant movement. So while God's word in Psalm 46:10 was not written with the life of a principal in mind, we can certainly apply it as such. Take time each day to "be still." Take time this week, as many of you return from Spring Break, to be in prayer, devotion, and quiet meditation with God.

Chris

fieldtripOutdoor Education Fieldtrip Opportunity
By day we are a Preschool & Childcare facility. By afternoon, we offer fieldtrips to share what we can learn from nature.

Here are just a few things you can do:
  • Experience our outdoor education classroom. Our nature center includes a large, fenced in area for kids to safely encounter nature. We catch leaves, and snowflakes, and dig in the
    dirt.
  • Hike on our nature trail. We have over 18 acres of land that is home to many animals
  • Trees are tapped for sap in late Winter. We then boil it for syrup.
  • Visit the owl's nest. We expect owlets to hatch mid-March. They will be grown up and leave the nest by the end of May or early June. Learn all about owls, from our resident expert, Mr. Boris.
Fieldtrip times available year-round.

"JOYFULLY WALKING WITH OUR LORD!"

By living in faith we find JOY!!
Whether we feel sad or happy, we can still Joyfully walk with the Lord. As we praise and thank God for the many blessings and gifts He gives us, we remember the greatest gift - His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
During Lent and Easter, we celebrate our Lord who died and rose again so that we will forever! Can you imagine the JOY Jesus' disciples felt when they realized they were again able to walk with their Friend, their Savior, and their King?
We pray you will be eager to inspire your young students and their families to live in JOY as they grow and learn; praising their Savior and telling others about Him!
