Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday are both triumphant days in the church year. Yesterday, the church celebrated Palm Sunday. Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem. The crowds shouted "Hosanna! Hosanna!" Easter Sunday, when the church celebrated His resurrection from the dead, is also a triumphant. The book ends to Holy Week are both uplifting days and it would be tempting to gloss over what happens in the days between the two. After all, think of what happens between Palm Sunday and Easter:
- Asked to keep watch while He prayed, His disciples couldn't stay awake
- Jesus was betrayed and left by his friends
- The crowds who chanted "Hosanna!" began chanting "Crucify him!"
- Given the choice, the crowds chose to release a murderer instead of Jesus
- Jesus was beaten, tortured, mocked, humiliated, and put to death on a cross.
Yes, it would most definitely be a happier story to go straight from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday. But without the days in between, we could never have Easter. Without Good Friday, there is no Easter. Without the betrayal, the beatings, the humiliation...there is no Easter. As ugly as the events are that occurred between Palm Sunday and Easter, they were necessary. Christ did all of these things, he suffered all, even death on the cross, for us and for our salvation. So, while we may be tempted to not confront the ugliness that is remembered this week, we must. We must look to the cross...that is where our salvation was won.

Outdoor Education Fieldtrip Opportunity
|
By day we are a Preschool & Childcare facility. By afternoon, we offer fieldtrips to share what we can learn from nature.
Here are just a few things you can do:
- Experience our outdoor education classroom. Our nature center includes a large, fenced in area for kids to safely encounter nature. We catch leaves, and snowflakes, and dig in the
dirt. - Hike on our nature trail. We have over 18 acres of land that is home to many animals
- Trees are tapped for sap in late Winter. We then boil it for syrup.
- Visit the owl's nest. We expect owlets to hatch mid-March. They will be grown up and leave the nest by the end of May or early June. Learn all about owls, from our resident expert, Mr. Boris.
Fieldtrip times available year-round.

Teaching the Faith Workshops |

and Concordia University Wisconsin
"JOYFULLY WALKING WITH OUR LORD!"
By living in faith we find JOY!!
Whether we feel sad or happy, we can still Joyfully walk with the Lord. As we praise and thank God for the many blessings and gifts He gives us, we remember the greatest gift - His Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
During Lent and Easter, we celebrate our Lord who died and rose again so that we will forever! Can you imagine the JOY Jesus' disciples felt when they realized they were again able to walk with their Friend, their Savior, and their King?
We pray you will be eager to inspire your young students and their families to live in JOY as they grow and learn; praising their Savior and telling others about Him!
