In God We Trust. While this term is especially thought of around Independence Day / July 4th, our trust in God is an every day occurrence. Through His saving Grace we are His Children!

Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) is a ministry partner for which trust is demonstrated every day. Whether it is serving a congregation with a loan or some other service, or assisting our LCMS Rostered Church Workers, LCEF empowers ministries as they strive to build the Kingdom. Your investments help empower ministries to share the Gospel.

This newsletter has a few new enhancements. The first is an opportunity to receive a new LCEF Financial Newsletter. The second is an opportunity to receive, view, and download brochures on topics that pertain to you and your family. Check out these offerings in the left hand side of the newsletter.

Please feel free to use any of the content in this newsletter for your personal or congregational needs. If you have questions, feel free to call me.

May you and your family have a memorable 4th of July!

Yours in Christ,
Diana

Do You Know the Demographics of Your Community?

If you have never done a demographics study for your church/school or you haven't done one in awhile, now is a great time to do so.

Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) provides an online "Church Demographic Specialist" called MissionInsite. Within this website you will find materials that can be vital to church development, mission outreach, and the empowerment of congregations within their communities.

Feel free to register yourself, browse the website, and download your own reports, or contact Diana Raasch at the South Wisconsin District office 414-464-8100 or diana.raasch@lcef.org. She would be happy to download the reports for you as well as discuss how they can impact your congregation/school.

Ground Breaking at Concordia School, Sturtevant
The rain held off and the dirt was soft for the ground breaking ceremony at Concordia Lutheran School of Sturtevant. We had a large and excited gathering for the event held June 14 2015.

Participants (photo L-R) included Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Rep. Robin Vos, Rev. Jeff Mortenson, Faith Chairman Damian Gouff, Principal Jeannine Klein, 21st Senate District Sen. Van Wanggaard, President Rasch Construction Jason Rasch and Vice President LCEF Diana Raasch.

Thank you to all who attended and offered encouragement.

National Youth Gathering 2016

NYG 2016

Place: New Orleans, LA            Date:  July 16-20

If you have a youth group that is planning on going to the NYG, please have the group leader contact Robin - mueller@swd.lcms.org - at the District office. We want to make sure that they are receiving all the information from the District office regarding the District event, t-shirts, etc.

LCEF has been an important partner to those attending LCMS National Youth Gatherings. We will once again provide financial services for youth groups, workers and, volunteers.

A major concern for anyone who travels is handling money, and congregation leaders, parents and young people attending this major event are no different. We want the experience to be fun, memorable and safe!

Consider LCEF's Visa prepaid cards as an alternative to giving cash to youth group members. Lost cards can be easily replaced, and funds not used can be returned to the youth group's StewardAccount® for future events.

The LCEF Exchange, also will be operating during the Gathering, July 16-20, 2016, in New Orleans. This service allows for on-site cash transactions for workers, volunteers, DCEs, parents and attendees.

NEW this year! Youth leaders can text LCEFNYG to 3131-31 for LCEF tips and tools as they prepare for and enjoy the Gathering.
