Empowering Ministry with Your Interest

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace..."

1 Peter 4:10

You may contribute all or part of the interest earned on your Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) investments to The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) ministries close to your heart. Your gifted interest will be sent directly to the ministry of your choice for a specific period of time.

The contribution of your interest will:

  • Help advance God's plan for your congregation or ministry.
  • Equip Lutheran schools to train future Christian leaders.
  • Make a difference in the lives of people in need.
  • Empower the sharing of the Gospel.
Learn more about our Special Interest Program at lcef.org or call 800-843-5233 or contact Diana Raasch in the District office at 414-464-8100, ext. 25.

Vision Path: Right Questions are Key!

As their 150th anniversary drew near, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, members turned to LCEF's VisionPath team to clarify how best to use their resources and reach out in a strong ministry direction.

Such an anniversary tradition is nothing new for St. Paul's. It was during its 125th year that members started Kinder Place, an early childhood ministry-now a strong feeder for the church's day school.

Congregants expressed a variety of ideas, and the VisionPath process-created by LCEF Sr. Vice President Max Biesenthal and facilitated by the Rev. Dr. John Sproul, Western Region vice president-sharpened their focus. Asking the right questions is key, Sproul says.
