MERCY FOREVER
"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:8-9
________________________________________________________
I used the above scripture verse in a staff devotion at the District office last week and heard it again by the Valedictorian of Martin Luther High School this past Saturday, her favorite verses! These were much needed words of encouragement from Peter to the newly formed Christian church, and are just as important in our time today.
As we end another school year, we will say farewell to those students, families and maybe teachers, who won't be returning, whether through graduation, transition or other circumstances. Regardless of the reason, we know that God puts people in our lives for reasons which we may not know. But what we do know, in our time with them, we are to take every advantage of being a brother or sister in Christ - giving of ourselves to help strengthen their faith and spiritual walk with their Lord and Savior. As administrators and teachers, this is our Calling, nothing is greater! As I transition back into the school setting, and reflect on my time here, I have truly been blessed by the people I've had the chance to cross paths with. While I don't always understand God's timing, I know He is faithful to those who are connected to Him as referenced by Peter.
To our students or teachers who will not return next year, it's not farewell, goodbye, adios, but see you later! God's promises guarantee the marvelous reunion!
Serving Christ Together,
Mark

Choice Expansion |
Provisions that foster choice and help private school kids are being perceived as an attack on public education. This will continue for the next month and could get more angry before it subsides. The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) produced a video that answers those arguments:(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw1D2cI0bns).
The Institute is also circulating an op-ed, which ran in the Kenosha News and may be appearing in a newspaper near you.

God at Work at St. Martini, Milwaukee
Great things are happening at St. Martini! Two students were baptized and two others were confirmed on Sunday, May 17 during the bilingual service. Pastor Prada had the teachers stand as witnesses to the baptisms. Both of the confirmed students will attend Martin Luther High School in the fall. A few weeks ago, Pastor Prada confirmed 10 adults and welcomed them into membership at St. Martini, the first Hispanic members of the congregation. Most of the adults were either employees of the school, parents of students or both. Praise God for the awesome work of Pastor Prada!
