delegatesAdvisory Delegates for Synod Convention

In accordance with the Synodical Handbook, all ordained and commissioned ministers whose names appear on the official roster of the SWD are required to attend the Convention. Rostered commissioned ministers, even if retired or not serving, are advisory delegates and may not act as a lay delegate.

For every 60 rostered Ministers of Reglion--Commissioned, the SWD is entitled to 1 advisory delegate [Bylay] to the national LCMS Convention in Milwaukee, July 9-14, 2016. The election of these delegates and alternates (13 each) will take place during registration at the SWD Convention at CUW, June 7, 2015.

Please share the following form with all of your rostered commissioned workers.

nlsaNLSA Visiting Team Appointment Approval

A reminder - all visiting team appointments must be approved by our national office in St Louis. In an effort to be more efficient please send requests for the appointment of visiting teams to Susan Green's attention susan.green@lcms.org - copy Terry Hubbard on the email - thubbard2983@charter.net. Susan will process the requests and quickly grant approval. Don't forget to include the date of the visit in the request and designate who will be serving as the team captain.

Also, when schools are applying for accreditation application extensions please file them directly to Susan. Three components are necessary for us to consider extension applications:

1)      Letter from the school stating cause for extension

2)      Letter of support for the extension from district officials

3)      $100 extension fee

Obviously, all this can be accomplished via e-mail. Paper is not necessary.
