Dear District Pastors,

Our Campus Ministries need to hear from YOU!

Where will your college students be attending school this fall?

I remember my Freshman year of college at a secular university as being one of the most challenging times of my life. And I remember connecting to a Lutheran campus ministry - what a blessing!  Many of you pastors have young people who will be starting college in the Fall.  For some it will be their first time away from home, and away from their congregation.

Our District office wants to assist your college students in staying connected with the comfort and assurance of God's Word while attending one of the UW system's campuses. Please share the following LCMS Campus Ministry information with the parents of these children, or ask them for their child's contact information while away from home and direct it to the appropriate ministry listed below.

Remember also those who are attending other private colleges or universities. Most often the LCMS congregations closest to those schools would welcome them to their activities and assist them in attending.

Thank you for your help!
It is so important for our college students to remain grounded in their faith as they are exposed to so many temptations and confusing philosophies while preparing for their future careers. So thanks for doing your part in helping them find a go-to place to get their questions answered and feel more at home. Above all, please keep these young people--and their parents--in your prayers!
Rev. Peter Kelm, Missions Executive, South Wisconsin District--LCMS
