Since the nominations process began in February, 23 candidates for the COABE Board of Directors positions were submitted by members for review by the nominations and elections committee, which was led by Renae Harrison, Immediate Past President.

The nominations and elections committee was charged with selecting the candidates for the ballot, which was then sent out to all members, April 22-May 22. For the first time ever, candidates were able to campaign at the COABE conference and beyond. As a result, over 1,000 COABE members participated in the nominations and elections process by voting for the candidates of their choice.

Congratulations to the following newly elected board members:
  • Kaye Sharbono (LA), President-Elect
  • Don Finn (VA), Secretary
  • Rhea Watson (NV), Region 7 Representative
  • Branka Marceta (CA), Region 8 Representative

You can read their bios here. Terms begin on July 1, 2015.
