Dear Adult Education Colleague,

The 2015 COABE conference is gearing up to be a great event, and you don't want to miss out. We anticipate nearly 1,500 adult educators from across the country to share, network, and learn from the 25 preconference and over 300 concurrent workshop sessions. Our featured keynote presenters include motivational speaker, Carrie Stack; OCTAE Assistant Secretary, Johan Uvin; Dr. Regina Lewis; and our Friday closing session speaker is Dr. Stephen Brookfield.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We have planned a number of events to highlight many of the great attractions in the Denver area. Join us on Tuesday evening for a relaxed time of light fare, beverages, and music, at the "Rocky Mountain Hello" welcome reception. On Wednesday evening, the COABE President's Reception will take place at the History Colorado Museum--where many of the exhibits will be open for viewing. Thursday evening's off-site event, "Rockin' the Rockies," will feature a light dinner, a live band, and dancing at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. These events are very popular and are filling up fast! Reserve your ticket when you register, or you can contact info@coabe.org to add on to your conference registration. More event details are located here.

OFF-SITE Tours

COABE has partnered with a local tour company to offer various tours of points of interest within and around Denver. Visit the conference page, at www.COABE.org, and click on "Events" to view these off-site event opportunities.

STRATEGIC PLANNING

As you know, COABE is moving forward with developing a new mission statement and a new, comprehensive strategic plan in order to meet the needs of our growing membership, as COABE has grown exponentially since 2009--from 1,300 members to over 13,000!

Thanks to the input from many of our members in 2014, COABE now has a draft Strategic Plan to share with you. Please take a few minutes to review the draft plan and share your feedback with us here, by March 9, 2015. It's important that we hear from you so that the final plan fully addresses your needs and concerns.

COABE's strategic planning process has been underwritten in part by generous support provided by McGraw Hill Education.
