Prepaid Cash Savings

Dealer Recognition Meeting
The 2015 Dealer Recognition Meeting Announcement was sent to storefront dealers on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, both via email as well as US mail.  The dealers receiving the announcement were storefront dealer classifications with 700 points or greater for the timeframe January 1 - July 31, 2015.  Dealers will continue to accrue points through December 31, 2015.  Total points on December 31, 2015, will determine their level of recognition.
 
This year's recognition will be given to dealers achieving Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond Levels; as well as the Top 5 Growth Dealers.  Please refer to the announcement for program details.
 
Reports showing YTD point accrual and growth are located on the Portal.  To view these reports, login to the Portal, then click on Reports/Growth Points

Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD)
There is now a VFD Page live on the Portal. The page contains links to helpful information related to the changes that will drastically alter the way certain antibiotics are used in animal feed and drinking water over the next two years in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Please share this site with your customers, most of the links are available to anyone. Going forward, additional information will be posted that may not be available to the public, and will require you to login (similar to other department pages on the Portal). The VFD page is found on the Portal under Departments/QA and Regulatory/VFD

Updated Trademark Listing
An updated listing of registered ® and TM trademarks for referencing when using in correspondence, tags/labels, and marketing material is on the Portal under Sales & Marketing/Documents....please refer to the list when using trademarks and mark accordingly.  When using these names, please use them according to the way the names are used (upper/lower case) in the listing. It is not necessary to use the circle R or TM designation each time the name is used.....should be used on the first occurrence of the name in the copy, such as in the title, heading or first line of copy.

Visit the Portal to find new listing of beef product pages, including pages for the new beef feed platforms recently introduced. Winter Feeding Tips for Calves
Optimizing nutrition for calves in the winter is critical to maintain performance under adverse conditions. Here are a few tips. These tips assume that the producer is feeding according to label directions and feeding 2 quarts/calf twice-a-day.
  • Producers can benefit from a full potential program such as NurseTrate® PowerMAX®.
But, for those feeding products like NurseTrate Classic, Classic Plus, PowerCharge™ and PowerGRO™:
  • Producers need to increase TOTAL volume fed.  Do NOT change the amount of powder fed in the mixing directions or only add more water.  Simply make more TOTAL solution and feed 3-4 quarts per meal.  Mix at 12 oz per 2 quarts or 6 oz per quart.  On the tags also are instructions for mixing up 1 gallon of solution.
  • Feeding temperature is KEY!!  Feed at 100-105° F degrees.  Always mix at 110-120° F.  If milk replacer is fed at lower temperatures, the calf expends energy to heat it up before they can digest it, thus they lose gain.
  • Another key is to feed at 12-hour intervals.  If calves are not feeding at 12-hour intervals, feed a higher volume at the meal that has the longest time between feeding, which is usually the evening meal.  Most people will feed at 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.  Extend that interval as far as possible, with 12 hours between being the goal.  (NOTE:  The higher volumes you feed, the MORE important 12-hour intervals become!)
  • Provide warm, clean water after milk.  By warm, it should be body temperature, 101.5° F.  Warm water takes longer to freeze and if it is at body temperature, they will want to drink it.  More water intake will promote greater starter consumption.  Water must be clean, meaning that it's not tainted even with a couple of drops of milk.  So, if they use the same bucket for water that they do for milk, it needs to be rinsed out.

It is Time to Get Forage Products Booked!
 
2015-2016 ECOSYL®*/ISF Forage Preservation Booking Program
ADM is offering a great Early Booking Discount Program on all ECOSYL and ISF forage preservative products with valuable incentives (12% early booking discount + normal cash terms) without pre-payment required.

Booking "Key" Features:
  • Booking period:  October 1, 2015-January 31, 2016
  • No prepay required to receive customer discount this year--All booking will be done through standard FSC contracts.
  • To Receive Discount: A 12% discount + normal cash discounts will be offered. A booking commitment is required using standard FSC contracts designating product(s) desired, quantities needed and selection of three shipment periods: Mar-May 2016, Jun-Aug 2016, and/or Sept-Oct 2016
  • All booked product must be shipped by October 31, 2016.  Product cannot be returned as suppliers do not allow product returns from ADM.
  • Minimum Order per Contract: A $1,000 minimum order (total discounted price before cash discounts) per contract period is required to participate.
  • Non-Fulfillment Penalty: Product not taken during the designated shipping period will be assessed a minimum non-fulfillment penalty of $100 or 15% of the price list value of product not taken, whichever is greater.
  • No Add-On Orders: No order can be added to a pre-existing early order commitment after January 31, 2016.
  • Any product not committed to during the booking program or purchased after the early booking program ends on January 31, 2016, will be priced at the standard product price.
  • Please Send Your Completed Booking Form to: The AN Formulations Dept. either via e-mail AN_Formulations@adm.com or fax: 217-231-2812.
  • Note: The booking form is not the contract nor is it your order. You must establish an FSC contract with Quincy for products you want booked and place an order for contracted product(s) prior to the designated shipping period with your Customer Service Representative.
Delivery Terms For Perishable Products:
  • ECOSYL water soluble products are delivered directly to the customer. If ordered before 10 a.m. CST, products are direct shipped using FedEx second day at no additional charge. Orders received after 10 a.m. will ship the following day via FedEx second day. No Saturday delivery.
  • The charge for any rush order (where available) will be $30.00 for next day service.
FTL ISF Direct Ship Option:
  • Dealers can pick up direct from the respective ISF plants. There are two new FTL price lists for ISF products (W58-FOB-110-ISF-DROPSHIP and R59-FOB-110-ISF-DROPSHIP) picked up directly at the ISF dry plant in Lewisburg, OH, or ISF liquid plant in Waterloo, IA. The 110 price list price is the discounted FOB price.
  • Shipment has to be a minimum of 10 full pallets (10 tons) and maximum of 44,000 pounds. Pallet size = 42x50-lb bags, 40x50-lb pails, 4x550-lb drums, 3300-lb totes in metal cage. Note this is 10-ton minimum per plant per pick-up.
  • Product must be taken in full pallet quantities and customers must arrange and pay for their own trucking.
  • Please provide a minimum two-week lead time on any order.

ADM Announces Director of Animal Nutrition Research
 
ADM Alliance Nutrition, affiliated with ADM Animal Nutrition Research, is proud of its commitment to research and producing the best products and agricultural solutions for our customers.  We are very happy to share the following announcement from Dr. Ryan Lane, Vice President of Animal Nutrition Research.
Animal Nutrition and Research colleagues,

It is an exciting time to be part of ADM's growing Animal Nutrition business. And I'm pleased to announce that we are taking yet another step to support the business growth plan by further enhancing our talent in Animal Nutrition Research. This week, Alex Buentello is joining our team as director, Animal Nutrition Research.
 
Alex comes to ADM with 26 years' experience and a strong track record of success in animal nutrition research as well as extensive knowledge of the global aquaculture feed business and the impact of functional nutrients on animal performance. This knowledge and experience will be crucial in his new role, where he will be responsible for developing a robust R&D portfolio, identifying opportunities for ADM to grow in the aquaculture industry and helping expand our capacity to deliver new products, services and solutions.

Alex and his family are relocating from Des Moines, Iowa, to Decatur where he will work at the Randall Research Center and will report to me.

2015 National FFA Convention Recap
The 88th National FFA Convention & Expo wrapped up in Louisville, KY on October 31, after four days of convention, meetings, workshops and trade show activities that catered to an all-time record of 65,173 attendees! The MoorMan's ShowTec team participated in an ADM exhibit that featured a livestock judging contest and highly popular photo booth! Next year the convention returns to Indianapolis on October 19-22, 2016.

First there was Burst, then there was Final Burst - and now there is MoorMan's ShowTec Sale Burst CTC/DEN.
 
Sale Burst Product Positioning
Sale Burst is a complete mini-pelleted feed designed for today's starting/growing show pigs being fed for show pig sales or for pigs in early exhibition feeding programs. It is formulated for feeding to show pigs weighing 35 to 75 lb body weight.

Sale Burst (#21206AYWE4) will completely replace Sale Prep. As inventories of Sale Prep are depleted at the location you receive feed from - its availability will be ended and new Sale Burst will be its replacement.

Sale Burst has been previewed by some top feeders. They have told us it has excellent palatability and is just the right combination they are looking for to bridge the gap for the pigs at the stage after Burst - but before our developers/finishers. It combines the goodies in Burst and Final Burst - but designed to give the look needed by pigs at this stage. Join the top feeders that evaluated it - and responded to us by saying they are "all in" with this new product - that it is just what they needed.

The Sale Burst product page is available on the Portal and the Swine Quick Reference Guides have been updated with Sale Burst replacing Sale Prep.
 
Discontinuing #12006AXU ShowTec Sale Prep Starter
As a result of the FDA's GFI 213 changes to antibiotic use, Zoetis has discontinued Aureo S-P 250®* Type B Medicated Feed, as it contained penicillin and a production claim (growth promotion and feed efficiency). The new FDA approved use excludes penicillin and the production claim. ADM Alliance Nutrition will be switching product medication as soon as our current inventory has been depleted. Currently, #12006AXU ShowTec Sale Prep Starter is the only show feed product sold within the past year containing the Aureo S-P 250 medication.

The link below will take you to the new ShowTec bag designs, and the products that go in each bag. Please note that the transition will be based on inventories at each plant. Unfortunately, since current inventories vary between plants, this changeover will be a gradual process. Please work to inform your customers of these changes with our bags.

The tub is 100 lb. The block is 25 lb. Rack Plus designed labels are being finalized. Initial shipments may have a plain label. The mineral is packaged in a 10 kg bag (approx. 22 lb). A new Rack Plus specific bag is being ordered for the new mineral. Initial shipments will be in a plain bag with a Rack Plus label. Both of the block and bag sticker labels should be available soon.

Now available through Business Services is the new Rack Plus Quick Reference Guide (SM0096) -- which now includes the three new products. It is also located on the Portal under Specialty/Product Info/Reference Guides.

Please make a commitment that the next time you have an opportunity you will detail these new products to a potential Customer. Our dealers can benefit by stocking these great products.

  • Please work with your manager and local plants to establish floor stocking. These products will be on all retail and wholesale price lists.
