Jim Sours and Dr. Jim Warren will represent our deer and elk products and feeding programs at the 2013 national event in Collinsville, IL, at the Gateway Center. Wildlife industry breeders, hunting operations, and suppliers will attend to create a three-day exhibition and auction event. Each year, the industry's top 30 breeders are selected to offer animals and semen at a series of live auctions,
and also includes a tradeshow atmosphere that encourages producers to visit the supporting exhibitors. We will have a booth and will be actively engaging current customers and new prospects for our complete line of wildlife feeds. Prospects and requests for follow-up will be directed to the appropriate sales contacts. Please be prepared to follow-up and follow through promptly when we send a lead your way.
Game Bird
Leo Windschitl and Jim Sours will attend and represent our game bird feeds and feeding programs at the annual membership meeting for NAGA, in Kansas City, MO. Existing customers and prospects that attend are our opportunity to demonstrate our game bird industry support and interest in new business. Each year, new NAGA members and those interested in beginning their commercial game bird enterprise (breeder or hunting operation) come to this national meeting and exhibitor show to gain nutritional, flock management, and farm management information and make key industry contacts. This is the one national organization annual event that brings NAGA leadership and their members together for seminars, training sessions and one-on one contact in the exhibitor area, at breaks and at meals.  Specialty Ingredients In an SI EDGE sent out on 12/31/12, the Specialty Ingredients (SI) team announced new research findings on biuret. At the ADM Research Center, rumen-fistulated beef heifers were used to generate comparative NH3 ammonia release curves for biuret, urea, soybean meal, Balchem's NitroShureTM 1 and Alltech's Optigen® 2. The research findings showed...
- Urea produces NH3 very fast which is why the amount is limited in feed
- Biuret is an extremely safe source of NPN
- Biuret, NitroShure, and Optigen were all able to elevate rumen NH3at levels much higher than soybean meal during the early hours after feeding
- Biuret's long-term NH3 release (a day after feeding) compares very favorably with soybean meal

Safety and The ADM Way
 SafetyNo matter what type of safety programs, meetings, processes or committees we have, it's all about being on the "lookout" for your fellow colleagues. Look for the positive safe behaviors they exhibit (VBS), look for unsafe conditions and make them known. Positively point out concerns and help get them corrected. Let's help each other get through a shift or get through the day without a safety incident. We all want to see each other leave work the same way we arrive--safely!
The ADM Way
The ADM Way explains who we are as a Company and what we are here to do. It describes what we want to be in the future and what we will do to achieve that aim. It expresses what we value, what we focus on, and what is important to us. It creates a common understanding for all colleagues and for those who interact with us.
