Art With Heart

Our sixteenth annual Art With Heart auction was a great night filled with delicious food, generous artists, and eager buyers. A big thank you to our presenting sponsor, Bank of America; our emcee, Erica Bryant from WSOC-TV, and our auctioneer, Mr. Ernest Perry of Perry's Fine Jewelry. Any buyers who did not pick up their art that evening can pick up their purchases at J Sam's Wine Bar in South Park during business hours.

Mark your calendars to join us on Thursday, March 10th for our post-auction event at J Sam's Wine Bar from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Get to know our planning committee and bid on remaining pieces from the auction. No RSVP required.
Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month

Teen dating violence is a serious problem, impacting youth in every community across the United States. The Center for Disease Control reports 1.5 million high school students nationwide experience some form of intimate partner violence to include: physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Females between the ages of 16 and 24 experience the highest rate of intimate partner violence. The severity of intimate partner violence cases in adults is often greater when the pattern of abuse was established in adolescence. Violent relationships in adolescence may have adverse effects on the victim. These effects may include: risk for substance abuse, eating disorders, risky sexual behavior, and being vulnerable to further intimate partner violence as an adult.
