Dear Friends,
Baby's Space is participating in the November 15, 2012 Give to the Max Day to raise funds to open a new infant room and a new toddler room at Baby's Space near the Little Earth neighborhood in Minneapolis.
Opening new classrooms means we expand our in-demand care to new children, their families and the greater neighborhood. What will your gift on November 15 do?
- Support 20 new children and their families in high-quality childcare that's designed from a baby's point of view.
- Build museum-quality classrooms that engage babies and children.
- Hire and train additional staff.
- Change lives. Read the stories below from two families involved in our program.
Give to the Max Day is a day for Minnesotans to come together to raise money for organizations changing lives. Thanks to your ongoing support, we're changing the lives of babies and families every day.

A Mom's Story: I'm Happy When I See My Daughter Happy
Tashana Berry
| Tashana Berry and her daughter Tessyana feel like family at Baby's Space |
Tashana Berry only trusted her mother to watch 13-month-old Tessyana Bailey. But since coming to Baby's Space she's found more than a quality daycare facility, she's found an extended family.
"Since coming to Baby's Space, I've gained more of a family atmosphere. This is the first time my daughter has been in daycare because I haven't trusted anyone besides my mom to watch her. Now, we want to be present for all of the activities and events at Baby's Space."
Since her enrollment at Baby's Space, Tashana said that Tessyana has started to become her own person. "She is doing so many things by herself like moving along quickly and really advancing." said Tashana. "She talks a lot more since she started at Baby's Space and she is happy. I see her happy here and that makes me happy."
Tashana feels like a member of the Baby's Space family by volunteering. "I really like volunteering here. I like helping out, doing a good job and being productive. It's also reassuring being close to my daughter."
Welcome to our family, Tashana and Tessyana. |
A Family's Story: Baby's Space Has Made Our Family Closer
Jacob and Connie Bruce

The Bruce family has had daughters enrolled in the Baby's Space program for more than six years. And while their daughters have gained social, emotional and intellectual growth at Baby's Space, the family has strengthened right along with them.
"Baby's Space has made our family a lot closer," said Connie Bruce. Jacob echoes the sentiment. "We both volunteer here, which has been a great experience, and our kids are here. It's nice being so close."
The Bruce family also values the benefits of the child-centric program. "Debbie is two years old and is in the Toddler Room. Every day when I pick her up, I see all the new things she has learned. She can count to 10, she knows the ABCs. I think that's great for a two-year-old."
The Bruces are often at Baby's Space. Besides volunteering, they enjoy monthly family nights. They thank the staff, especially Debbie Lund, for their support and remark that the people are the best part of Baby's Space. |
