Legislative News
We just received news that there are two bills on student instructional time that will be heard in the Senate Education Committee on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00pm in Conference Room 229. SB822, the companion to HB14, which HE'E supports, and SB1039, which keeps the minimum days requirement but repeals the student instructional time requirements. Because the Coalition agrees that minimum days and student time are needed to prevent furloughs and ensure equity across Hawaii public schools in student instructional time, the Coalition will oppose SB1039.
