This week, there will be a House Education Committee hearing on SB238 on instructional hours on Monday, March 11, 2013 at 2:00pm in Conference Room 309.  HE'E's revised testimony is here. There will also be a hearing on SB1093 SD2, establishing a school readiness program and SB1095 SD2, establishing an early education program on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2:00pm in Conference Room 309.  HE'E's testimony remains the same for both bills.  We encourage you to come to the hearings to participate in the process!

In the HE'E legislative update, please note that HB190 HD1, which establishes a truancy workgroup to examine truancy in elementary schools has crossed over to the Senate. In addition, the family-school partnership senate concurrent resolution has been listed as SCR49.  This is the third in the series of resolutions the Coalition has supported.  We will be drafting testimony in support.

HE'E Satisfaction Survey

We have prepared a satisfaction survey for our members and participants. You will receive a separate e-mail inviting you to take the survey. The purpose of the survey is to get some feedback from members regarding Coalition activities, administration, policy and procedures. It gives you an opportunity to let us know how we are doing.  It should take less than ten minutes of your time. Please provide comments - your input is invaluable to us!
