Response Requested-Safe Schools Bill
HE'E staff and members have been participating in a Bullying Task Force, led by Senator Suzanne Chun Oakland. The group has been reviewing prospective legislation on school safety. Please see the latest draft a bill known as the Safe Schools Act here. The bill is having difficulty being introduced. We would like to know members' input on support for this bill. If there is strong support, we will encourage legislators to introduce the bill. Deadline is this week so we ask for your response as soon as possible.
Upcoming HE'E Meetings Hawaii Work to the Rules Presentation and Conversation, Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 4:30-6:00pm Please join us for a discussion with the Hawaii Work to the Rules representative and organizer, Corey Rosenlee, who is also a teacher and Campbell High School. Corey will give a presentation about the movement, followed by conversation and discussion.
