Aloha HE'E Coalition Members:

It is that time of the month for gathering information about HE'E's newsletter. We very much want to share the  exciting and hard work of our Coalition.  Please email information about your programs, activities and news, it can include new initiatives and events, or an overview of your ongoing programs and projects. One of our goals is to share best practices and program knowledge with our colleagues statewide.  Please help us keep each other informed! If you would like us to include your organization's news in the upcoming newsletter, please send it to me end of day Wednesday September 26th, 2012.

In addition, we are planning our quarterly meeting which will take place on Wednesday November 7, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Japanese Cultural Center.  We would like to have members share a few minutes about their organization's latest news--it is another opportunity to share the great work of the Coalition. Please save the date!   

To give you a preview for some of October's events, on October 9, 2012 we will have a Policy/Planning meeting from 10:00am-12:00pm at The Learning Coalition Office with guest speakers Senator Jill Tokuda, Representative Roy Takumi and Kate Stanley, Senior Advisor to Governor Abercrombie. Our distinguished guests will give a preview of what is ahead for the next legislative session. We would like interactive conversation so we strongly encourage your participation!  And just a final reminder, On October 15, HE'E is hosting a meeting with Dr. Malbert Smith of Metametrics who will discuss about the Lexile Scale, a tool to measure reading complexity.
