Dear HE'E Members and Participants,
HE'E's Large Group Meeting will be held on September 21, 2011, Wednesday, from 5:30-8:00pm at Richards Street YWCA Fuller Hall. We will have a presentation by Dr. Jean Silvernail, Director USPACOM Education Division. USPACOM is a new HE'E member and Dr. Silvernail will be sharing about needs of military students and families and how it relates to the Coalition. We will also have a presentation by Stacy Nishina, Instructional Professional Development (IPD) Specialist of HSTA. HSTA has received a grant from the National Education Association to increase their parent engagement efforts and we will hear about some of their current projects. We will also have time for networking to get to know each other better. Please also feel free to invite new organizations who might be interested in joining HE'E. Please RSVP by September 14, 2011.
HE'E Planning Team meeting will be held on Tuesday September 13 at The Learning Coalition Office, 841 Bishop Street, Suite 301. It is scheduled from 9:00-11:00am. It appears that the latter part of the afternoon also works as a meeting time for members so please let me know what might work best for you. All HE'E members are welcome to the planning meeting, where we discuss progress in working groups as well as plan for upcoming events.
