Emmet Update

Emmet is in trouble again. He was doing so well and all of a sudden  he was in bad shape. Emmet spent three days at the vet and received a transfusion. The transfusion went well and he is holding steady at 30% red blood cells. Still more work to do, but he seems to be doing okay. Emmet has had a couple of visitors, which he was so happy to see. This is Homeward Bound Pug Rescue's little miracle Pug that arrived at our rescue in worse shape than any other Pug we have taken in. He basically came back from near death last time with everyone's prayers and donations. Now he needs us again! We are 1/2 way to the goal for Emmet's medical bills. Please donate and help us help Emmet and all the other pugs in need of medical care.
Pet Portrait Fundraiser

We have had several pugs come in recently in need of medical care. The kind and talented
James Michael Smith has generously offered to donate a 8.5 X 11 custom pet portrait to the first 3 people who donate $200 or more to Homeward Bound Pug Rescue. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a beautiful portrait of your pet and help HBPR. To receive your portrait, go to our GoFundMe page, donate $200 or more, and then email me at homewardboundpugs@juno.com. I will let the artist know and he can contact you about your portrait. Thank you all for your support.

Happy Tale: Nora

Nora was adopted by a loving family who has adopted from us several times before. They live all the way in Maine, so Nora has been getting used to the fluffy, white stuff her mama calls snow. Here is a sweet follow up note from Nora's new family: She has been here for 3 days now but she fits in as if she has been here for her entire life. She is a little 8 year old senior gal who is as cute as a button. She is a little thing but she has a big personality, and lets you know when she wants something! She is one of the most snuggly pugs I have adopted and she just wants to be with you 24/7.  If you are considering adopting, seriously consider a senior! Just because they are older doesn't make them less deserving of a loving forever home. Seniors will always have a special place in my heart!! ~ Amy Fletcher

Amazon Wish List

As you know, pugs are hungry little dogs, and right now we are running out of food. If you are able, please go to our Amazon Wish List and order  Taste Of The Wild dog food (salmon flavor). If you are the OKC area you can drop by either A1 Pet Emporium and buy a bag there. Gail can pick up the food from them.

If you would rather buy something else for the pugs, you can pick anything from our Amazon Wish List.

Thank you so much for helping us get through this rough patch!
