 Thank You!
Last month we held our second on line auction, the 21 Pug Salute. The results were amazing!! My goal was to bring in $6,000 and we far exceeded that. Are you ready??? We made $10,000!! I can't thank our donors, bidders and supporters enough. You made this happen and we were able to pay most of our vet bills off. I wish I could say we paid them all, but the last two years have been crazy with many extensive surgeries and higher than usual vet bills.
We are thrilled with our total and continue to be amazed at the support we receive for Homeward Bound. We should be having another auction in June, so get ready to have some more fun and help Homeward Bound at the same time. We already have some awesome donations. Come and meet several of our wonderful pugs. We will have over 20 sweet puggies for you to meet and play with. They do love to show off for a crowd. If there is a specific pug you would like to meet, email me at homewardboundpugs@cox.net and we will try to have him/her there. Approved applicants can take their new furever friend home that day.

 Temporary Fosters Needed
In order to visit with my son over Mother's Day and travel to see my youngest son in June, I am begging once again for Temporary foster homes so that I can leave town. Yes, even I need to get away now and then.
My friends and supporters have always come through for me so I'm hoping you will help this time too. I need coverage for the following dates: May 7- May 14 or May29- June 7.

 HBPR Logo Contest
We are having our first ever Homeward Bound Pug Rescue Logo contest. We have been an organization since 2003 but just haven't had the time or resources to come up with a logo. We know we have many talented friends and supporters among us. We are looking for a logo that is classy and simple but not whimsical. A prize will be awarded to the winner of the logo contest. Pupdate: JoJo
Thanks so much to those that have contributed towards JoJo's surgeries. We raised enough to pay most of her bill. We were not able to save her leg, but she is so much happier now and is doing great in her foster home.

 Meet Luna's Puppies!
On February 26 our sweet Luna gave birth to eight little Schnug puppies. Unfortunately, we lost a little girl at three weeks but we still have six little boys and a darling little girl.
Luna came to us in January very pregnant by a Schnauzer. The puppies are now seven weeks old and ready to meet their new families. Please consider submitting an adoption application for one or more of these little guys. They love to give kisses and are just
precious.
We continue to update our Amazon breeder release wish list with new items. With seven more puppies you can imagine the need for toys and food. Of course the adults need food and toys also. I want to once again thank those that have sent items from the list. You have no idea how much this helps us focus on vet bills instead of supplies and other items. FedEx and UPS now know me by name.
