COSTUME CONTESTS!!!!
One of the best things about Puggerfest is seeing all of the cute pugs dressed up in costume! This year we have a Pirate theme and we can't wait to see what you come up with. Start planning those costumes now.
We will have several categories this year....Best Pirate Boy, Best Pirate Girl, Best Group (everyone gets a prize), Best Overall Costume (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) and new this year.....Best Dog & Owner Look-Alike Contest. Participants are encouraged to dress themselves and their dogs up and come strut their stuff.

RAFFLE PRIZES REQUEST
Puggerfest is quickly approaching and we are now looking for donations of our MAIN RAFFLE PRIZES. Each year we have an individual or business who donates our main raffle prizes.
If you or your business would be willing to donate ONE of these....a LAPTOP COMPUTER OR FLAT SCREEN TV or IPAD MINI, it would help so much. An iPad and Kindle Fire HD have already been donated by two generous individuals so far! Thank you!!!
We know these are rather expensive items to donate but the funds we raise from our raffles helps to fund vet bills for our puggies for several months after Puggerfest.
If you can't donate but know of a business who might be willing to, please pass along. The business will receive advertising via our Facebook page, website and print materials. Thank you!

 SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS NEEDED The silent auction is the most popular of our activities. We would gratefully accept any new items. Auction items do not have to be pug related, as some people love to shop for birthday and holiday gifts. Simple Ways You Can Help Raise Funds for Homeless Pugs
Donate an Item or Service from your business * Gift certificates for local restaurants, movies, entertainment, attractions * Jewelry * Tickets to sports events * Gift baskets from specialty shops and wineries * Pet items and services; Animal-themed items * Vacation and getaway stays and/or travel If you have time, solicit the businesses where you shop and do business and ask them for a donation. We have some great example letters you can customize to send to any business you frequent. If you would like a sample letter, simply send an email to Toni Pettigrew at hbpugs@gmail.com with "letter" in the subject line and I will get it out to you. TO DONATE AN ITEM (or if you have questions about donating an item): Send us an email at with "Silent Auction" in the subject line. If you are interested in volunteering BEFORE OR DURING PUGGERFEST, please take a moment to fill out the Puggerfest Volunteer form by clicking the link above. We need help in many areas at Puggerfest but we also need people to help with things that need to be done PRE-Puggerfest. Lots of people and places to contact, visit, email, etc. Even if you helped last year (or every year), please take just a moment to fill out the form so we can keep you in the loop about things going on and all the volunteer opportunities coming up! It takes a huge crowd to pull off Puggerfest and we appreciate it so very much!

For those wishing to come early and join us for dinner Friday night and/or stay for our pizza party Saturday night, a block of rooms has been reserved at the La Quinta Inn, Airport location, OKC.
The hotel is under new management and is much more customer service oriented than in the past. Please book now to ensure you secure a room.
You can book through the front desk at 405-942-0040. The room block is under PUGGERFEST/HOMEWARD BOUND. If you have any problems, ask for Joey Lanier, ext 5515.
Rooms are very reasonably priced at $60 for two double beds. If anyone needs a refrigerator or microwave they need to ask asap. Be sure to request downstairs courtyard rooms. They have a really nice courtyard and we will have x-pens set up to contain the pugs when we are outside visiting.
