RABIES RESPONSE IN ONTARIO
|
As of April 1st, 2014, the rabies response program in Canada is changing.
The CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) will continue to oversee the laboratory testing of specimens while case investigation, quarantine, collection and submission of samples will be managed by each individual province.
In Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) is investigating options for coverage of sample collection and submission, with the support of OMAF and MRA.
YOU can be a part of the new system.
