SPREADING THE WORD
|
Our Daily Bread recently participated in a program at UNT providing students with information about service opportunities in the area. This was a very successful event, well received by the students, and gave us another opportunity to spread the word about ODB.

OF NOTE
|
Danny Meza, Eagle Scout candidate, has committed to a 3-part project, consisting of painting shelving in our storage building and storage closet. Danny will also spearhead a collection of much needed hygiene supplies. He'll be starting his project soon. ....Talking Of ScoutsGirl Scouts from several local area Troops have also recently assisted in the assembly of Snack-Packs and other projects. This is a wonderful opportunity to have your group or organization volunteering their time, as a unit, for a meaningful cause. Volunteers are always needed for various projects with Our Daily Bread. Having groups participate in programs for ODB is and ideal way to give of time, and talents to help those in need while reaping the resultant good feeling benefits of your efforts. BITS and PIECES
| Dillon and Connie Prendergast, frequent Tuesday kitchen prep volunteers, recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Congratulations.
Please note, while we appreciate everyone's generosity, because we are not properly equipped, we are unable to accept used clothing donations. We as well as our clients do, however, welcome donations of NEW socks, warm caps, mittens and gloves and warm scarves. Thank you.
We're still in need of Heavy Cotton Socks. Warm and dry feet mean so much on cold, damp and dreary days. Any style, any brand, any size will do....the only requirement is, they must be new. Drop off at Our Daily Bread between 10:30 and 1:30 any weekday. Thank you.
