Pathways' 16th Annual Pep Rally, October 29, 2014, was planned by students and filled with their talent.  A  committee with representatives from every Pathways school site met twice in the fall, resulting in a student-driven rally brimming with spirit. The rally featured site-based t-shirts, each with its own color and option for self-design. It included a "caught you being good" raffle: in the days preceding the rally, teachers would give students "caught you" tokens which could be turned into raffle tickets.

Tavares Evans, founder of Cakes2AT, keynoted the event. He captured students' attention with his story of challenge and the choices he has made to change his life and become a successful business owner and operator. His business creates artful, intricate cakes for all occasions and is patronized by many D.C. area residents and celebrities.

Talent then took over the gym as students sang, flipped, danced, rapped, and played drums. There was an Ice Bucket Challenge video from Anne Arundel documenting students' chilly efforts to raise money to combat diseases such as ALS and Ebola.  The rally included the presentation of  an all-Pathways art project depicting a colorful "Pathway to Success" with students each making their own hexagonal tile.

Certificates were awarded to 26 students with excellent and perfect attendance, representing all six Pathways schools. Ten of those students had not missed a single day of school.
