DACC Staff, Student Honored for Lifesaving Actions

Earlier this month, one of our students experienced a medical emergency. We are very grateful that David Gilliam, Captain Dan Huffman, Deputy Dan Yarnell, Adult Ed Fire Instructor PJ Titus, & Fire Student Austin Walker were on the scene & acted quickly. Their swift actions played a large role in the survival of this student before EMS arrived. These gentlemen were all recognized this morning by the Delaware County Commissioners & EMS.

Their story aired on ABC6 and you can view the video here.

Auto Students Explore Alternative Fuel

Our DACC staff and students are taking their curriculum beyond what's required of them and exploring alternative fuels. What a great example of an instructor who is willing to give his students what they need to be successful and students who are willing to put in the extra time and effort to achieve their goals.
