DACC Parents and Families -

As we get into the full swing of second semester, we'll be sharing all of the great news of our students attending competitions and putting their skills up against best-of-the-best students from other schools on a local, regional, statewide, and even national level.

We would also like to call your attention to upcoming changes to our lunch payment process and pricing changes for individually wrapped items. It is very important that all of our students have access to a healthy meal, so please be aware of these changes.

School Lunch Payments

Effective Monday, April 7, 2014, the DACC will only accept credit card payments for lunch purchases on-line through EZ-Pay

What this means for you is that anyone who prefers to pay for student lunches by credit card will need to do so utilizing the EZ-Pay system. Adding funds to the EZ-Pay system can be done from any computer at any time and for those last minute emergencies, can even be done up to an hour before your child's scheduled lunch. For students who prefer to pay for lunches using other forms of payment, cash and checks will still be accepted by the cashier.

Even though this policy will not be enforced until April 7th, we encourage you to help your child get used to this new system as soon as possible to ensure that no one misses their opportunity to eat lunch.

The system is quick, convenient, and safe to use.
Price Increase for Individual Lunch Items

While the price of the regular school lunch is not changing, individually packaged items that are sold in the school cafeteria will undergo a minimal price increase. These are items such as cheese sticks, fruit cups, chips, and drinks that can be purchased as stand-alone items.

This change is also scheduled to take effect starting April 7th. To see price changes for these individual items, simply click the link below:

Congratulations to Derek Johanson for taking 3rd place at the regional SkillsUSA competition last week. He will be moving on to compete at the state level in April.

Along with Derek, students from Welding, Auto Collision, and Career Graphics will be competing at the state SkillsUSA competition.

Business Professionals of America

DACC students from the Digital Design and Networking programs dominated the Regional Business Professionals of America competition earlier this month. The many first, second, & third place scores are listed on our web site, along with some great photos of their day at the competition.

We wish them the best of luck as they prepare for the state competition.
