McCrone Redevelops McDonald's Sites Along Route 50

The Cambridge and Kent Island McDonald's newly renovated sites are open for business and include Maryland's new environmental site design (ESD) practices for stormwater management.  You will notice, upon arriving at these sites that the old facades and usual black pavement have changed.

The Cambridge site ESD practices incorporate colorful porous pavers and bioretention areas to allow the surface stormwater to immediately be absorbed and treated instead of running off the site.

Dual lane display boards provide a more efficient customer ordering system at McDonald's in Cambridge, MD.

The Kent Island site redevelopment uses a modified porous bituminous (asphalt) pavement providing a new and innovative ESD solution due to poor site drainage and outfall conditions.      This is a "first" in Queen Anne's County featuring porous bituminous pavement and an underlying stone bed with a perforated drain system.  This solution allowed for stormwater management compliance within the boundary of the property.

In addition, both locations feature McDonald's tandem customer order display boards which

provide a modern and efficient system for ordering and delivery to the customer.
