The East Texas Aging & Disability Resource Center is an easy way to find services for older adults and persons with disabilities living in our region. We operate a call center Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and can be reached at 1-877-237-2268. To submit suggestions, articles, news releases, links or events to be considered for use in future issues, please send information to Kristin Barnhart at Kristin@ETXADRC.org at least 45 days prior to the event. |

The Texas Customized Self-Employment Symposium
CRC's & CEU's Available
This ground breaking project has provided instruction in becoming self-employed for individuals with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities for the past two and a half years. Over the past 4 years this project has:
- Launched 38 businesses
- Hosted multiple self-employment trainings
to over 150 people - Presented the Project at two conferences
- Participated in self-employment workshops
with the Department of Aging and
Disability Services (DADS) and the
Department of Assistive and
Rehabilitative Services(DARS) - Certified by DARS for the new Supported Self-Employment Initiative
Please join us for this symposium on October 30 from 9:00 AM until 4:15 PM and October 31 from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Maude Cobb Convention Center located at 100 Grand Blvd.
