The additional of Roundtables generated lively discussion on current topics.
Region 6 board member John Williamson presenting Joanne Foster with the 2013 Lawyer of the Year Award.

The Lawyer of the Year Award was given to attorney Joanne Foster for her years of work with tribes in the Northwest. Her dedication to housing issues in that area led to her nomination by members of Region 6, who wished to recognize her devotion to the community following her recent retirement.

HUD Public and Indian Housing Assistant Secretary Sandra Henriquez was in attendance at the general session, and also held an open listening session to answer questions and address concerns of attendees.

NAIHC is grateful to the generous sponsors of this year's Legal Symposium: The Navajo Housing Authority, Travois, Inc, Federal Home Loan Banks, Hobbs Straus, Drinker Biddle and the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco.
