Volunteers Needed to Decide Community Priorities
This essential role will be for the 2016 and 2017 grant cycle.
We invite you to be a grant application reviewer for one of the topis areas: Education, Income or Health, to evaluate and score reports.
There will be an introductory meeting for new volunteers and those who would like a refresher of Salina Area United Way's Community Goals held in late July. Volunteers will work in teams of 14 to 16. In August volunteers will review applications on their own and then discuss as a team by topic area. At the final meeting volunteers will be asked to submit final scores for all applications.
Apply to volunteer by contacting Brenda Gutierrez at brenda@unitedwaysalina.org or calling (785) 827-1312.
909 free books have been given to local school children during RAWR this summer.
Thank you to all our volunteers who read to kids and donors who supplied us with books. We could not do this without you!
