Sign up to be a partner and promote reading aloud every day. Just 15 minutes a day from birth to age 5 can make the most of the critical window of development in your child.

Match Madness
Mark your calendars for March 10, 2015!
Greater Salina Community Foundation's Match Madness will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 7am-7pm at Martinelli's Little Italy in downtown Salina. If you can't attend the event but still want to make a donation to be matched, please go to www.gscf.org and donate online. Only online donations made March 10 between 12:00am and 11:59pm will be eligible for the match. To view the Match Madness guidelines, please click here.

Free Tax Preparation with VITA
Get your taxes filed for FREE at The Volunteer Connection with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA. Located in The Volunteer Connection office at 239 N. Santa Fe Ave. in Salina, this service runs through April 14 at the following days/times:

Mondays from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Tuesdays from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

There are several items a person must have to file their taxes through VITA. A complete list can be found at The Volunteer Connection's website, or by calling them at (785) 823-3128.

Salina Area United Way, K-State Research & Extension, and the KU School of Medicine-Salina are partnering to host a FREE screening of the documentary series, The Raising of America.
Join us on Tuesday, March 31 at Kansas Wesleyan University's Fitzpatrick Auditorium from 6-8pm for the free screening. Doors will open at 5:30pm and there will be a discussion panel afterwards.
The event is free to attend, but we ask that you register in advance.
