Happy Valentines Day!
2-1-1 in Kansas
February 11 is National 2-1-1 Day, a recognition of the free, user-friendly phone and online system that serves 90% of America's population, and connects some 16 million people a year to critical resources, information and services. When you dial 2-1-1, the call is routed to a trained information and referral specialist here in Kansas. They help identify your needs, then refer you to relevant human services, health or education resources from a comprehensive database. On Wednesday, February 11, take a moment to share 2-1-1 with people you know. Tweet the link, share the number on Facebook, or blog about the ways it can help!
2-1-1 can be referred to everyone, by anyone. Along with dialing the number, people can go to 211kansas.org to search by location and keywords.

Joyce Volk has begun her term as Board President. Kristy Balthazor is now Past President and will continue to serve on the Board. Salina has been chosen as the host-city of the 2015 Kansas Mission of Mercy, or KMOM. KMOM will be held at the Salina Bicentennial Center, 800 The Midway, on February 13 & 14. Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis. The clinic will open at 4:30AM on both Friday and Saturday. Roughly 1,000 patients will be treated each day. A dentist will examine the patient and determine the greatest need to be treated. Services provided include cleanings, fillings, and extractions. Patients will be able to discuss treatment and procedure options with the dentist prior to care.
