A look back on 2014...
January: SAUW begins scheduling, organizing and
facilitating
Community Conversations
February: Staff meet with community members on a weekly basis to share the mission of United Way
and recruit committee members

March: Work continues on the healthcare marketplace open enrollment period as people are encouraged to #GetCovered
April: Local businesses assemble literacy kits for PIECE
May: Match Madness happens for the third year in a row
June: The SAUW Facebook page reaches 500 likes

July: Volunteers read weekly at Schilling and Sunset Elementary Schools and give out free books to kids who attend
August: Four local businesses host "Stuff The Bus" events to benefit the annual Back To School Fair
September: SAUW Workplace Campaign Kickoff consists of over 200 volunteers packaging over 50,000 meals in just under 2 hours
October: Answers come pouring in to
"What does this place need?"

November: Businesses running workplace campaigns
volunteer to help sticker books for the public schools

December: City of Salina Mayor Aaron Householter signs a proclamation declaring Tuesday, December 2, 2014 as #GivingTuesday
