2-1-1: A Free Resource
|
The emergency number has been embedded in our brains: 9-1-1. But what about an emergency that doesn't relate to someone's immediate health or safety? 2-1-1 is that resource. They have access to information all over the State of Kansas that one United Way may not be able to provide. Whether a power bill is overdue, a homeless person needs shelter, or a family needs food, 2-1-1 is able to connect individuals with the agencies and programs that are best suited to fulfill their needs. 2-1-1 is a toll free service, and can be dialed from any telephone, or searched online here.
