SAVE THE DATE: CAMPAIGN KICKOFF IS SEPTEMBER 27
Education Action Week
|
|
August 19-23
Members of Congress will be heading to their home districts during August and many of the education policy issues affecting the communities we serve remain unresolved. The major federal education bill, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), is overdue for re-authorization. Policymakers are expected to consider ESEA and other education appropriations and authorization bills when Congress comes back in session in September and October. Now is the time for us to tell federal officials that education needs to be front and center for our nation. This is why SAUW is participating in Education Action Week- a five day campaign geared towards advocacy and education. We can't do it alone though; we need you to join us in rallying online to support education! Learn more

"SAUW has been an integral part of our community for many decades. When you look at the challenges we face in each of the three priority areas (Education, Income and Health), they are too big for any one person or any one organization to address and it takes the entire community coming together to work on them." -Daniel Craig Read about Daniel here.
