Born Learning Trail Constructed in Oakdale Park
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the community's first Born Learning Trail is planned for Tuesday, November 1, 2012 at Oakdale Park. The trail is sponsored by the SAUW and was constructed with the help of volunteers from Leadership Salina, Boy Scouts, and the SAUW Board of Directors.

The Born Learning Trail includes 10 interactive outdoor stations to help parents and caregivers create early learning opportunities for their young children near the playground area in Oakdale Park.

Lynnea Cook and her son, Mareon, are thankful for the community's generosity to the Salina Area United Way. Mareon's teachers are committed to giving him the one on one support he needs to be successful when he enters Kindergarten next year.

A big thank you to all who came out for the Born Learning Trail Volunteer Work Day, especially Leadership Salina, Jennifer Bonilla-Baker, Loren Young, and Ken Beck. The Trail looks fantastic and wouldn't have been possible without community minded volunteers like you.
BE AN ADVOCATE
You can LIVE UNITED by helping us spread the word. Imagine how many people we could reach if everyone forwards this to five people.
