Top 5 Reasons to Invest in the
United Way's Annual Campaign

5. When you give to the United Way, you are joining with the entire community to invest in eighteen community partner agencies and the services they provide.

4. When you invest in our community through the United Way, you have the satisfaction and confidence of knowing that you, personally, are helping to sustain and improve the lives of others.

3. The Salina Area United Way works with businesses, faith-based organizations, local government, the non-profit sector, and many other community groups to build the infrastructure we need to proactively tackle our biggest challenges.

2. We hold our partner agencies - and ourselves - accountable. You can trust that money you contribute to the Salina Area United Way will be allocated to programs at agencies that are held to the highest standards. Dedicated volunteers guide distribution of the funds, ensuring that the dollars have the greatest possible impact.

1. The Salina Area United Way is committed to providing a proactive hand-up to those who are struggling and not just a reactive hand out. We know that long-term community impact comes from strengthening our community by improving lives through leadership, partnership, and investment.

United Way volunteers and City of Salina employees were hard at work in Oakdale Park on Saturday morning leveling, shoveling, and framing the new sidewalk for the community's first Born Learning Trail. New cement will be poured this week and the trail will be completed by volunteers on Saturday, October 20.
