Georgia Legislature Week in Review

Week 9 of the 2016 session brought passage of SB 364 by a unanimous vote in the House. The overwhelming support for critical educator evaluation and testing reforms has been due to the high level of advocacy by PAGE, its members and other state education groups. You can be proud of your effort in letting legislators know of your support for these reforms. Please remember to also say "Thank You!" for listening to your voice. This episode of Week in Review includes information about an encouraging effort after the session to continue to look at the need to assess the state of assessment in Georgia.

This week's episode also highlights the need for educators to voice opposition to HB 238 - a revenue bill that passed the Senate and has gone to the House for an agree/disagree vote.

The 2016 Session of the General Assembly comes to a close on Thursday, March 24, with Sine Die.
