Week 5 of the 2016 session saw the introduction of two educator evaluation and student testing bills in the Senate. SB 355 and SB 364 are expected to begin working through the legislative process soon. PAGE/GAEL Day on Capitol Hill this Tuesday

Thank you to the 200 educators who will participate in the 2016 PAGE Day on Capitol Hill this Tuesday.  Each year, PAGE welcomes members for a day at the Capitol to hear from legislators and other state agencies about current legislation and education issues.

The morning session will include Sen. Lindsey Tippins (R-Marietta), chair of the Senate Education and Youth Committee, Dick Yarbrough, popular columnist and ERC member, and Claire Suggs, senior education policy analyst for the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute. The keynote during lunch will be presented by Georgia School Superintendent Richard Woods.
