Week 4 of the legislative session saw lots of action on a variety of bills of interest to educators, including STEM class weighting, online posting mandates for instructional resources, cameras in self-contained special education classrooms and religious expression protection for athletes.

PAGE/GAEL Day on Capitol Hill

The 2016 PAGE Day on Capitol Hill will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 16.  Each year, PAGE welcomes members for a day at the Capitol to hear from legislators and other state agencies about current legislation and education issues.

The morning session will include popular columnist and ERC member Dick Yarbrough and Claire Suggs, senior education policy analyst for the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute. The keynote during lunch will be presented by Georgia School Superintendent Richard Woods.
