Jesus in the City Campaign District Community Representatives   

We are looking for community organizers to manage districts throughout the Greater Toronto and surrounding areas to help build and expand the vision of Jesus in the City by creating awareness about the Jesus in the City Parade & Festival, encouraging unity amongst faith-based institutions through community projects and outreach. If you would like to be a District Community Representative by recruiting and engaging churches and businesses, oversee fundraising initiatives, advertising campaigns and community outreach, send us your resume or an outline of your past experience.  

 


NOTE: The position for Mississauga, Brampton and Oakville has been filled.
             

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Represent the Jesus in the City / Festival of Praise organization in your community.
  2. Manage a data base of churches, ministries and businesses for your district.
  3. Recruit and register organizations to be a part of and/or sponsor the Jesus in the City Parade.
  4. Build relationships with churches and organizations in your area so that we can help to advance their local community outreach programs.
  5. Oversee fundraising initiatives and events for your district.
  6. Promote Jesus in the City product sales in your district.
  7. Coordinate prayer teams and meetings in your district.
  8. Develop and manage a team of volunteers assigned to your area.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  2. Member of a local church and committed Christian.
  3. Must have attended at least one Jesus in the City Parade.
  4. Marketing, communication and fundraising experience.
  5. Able to organize community and fundraising events.
  6. Ability to manage and coordinate a team of volunteers.
  7. Passion for reaching the people in our city with the Gospel.
  8. Passionate about bringing people and churches together.    

 

PURPOSE OF HAVING DISTRICT COMMUNITY REPRESENTATIVES

  1. To engage and mobilize churches, ministries and businesses, encouraging them to be a part of the annual Jesus in the City Parade taking advantage of the liberty we have in the City of Toronto to publicly proclaim our love for God and love for people through music, worship, the arts and culture.
  2. To energize communities to reach their town for Christ.
  3. To expand the vision of Jesus in the City.
  4. To help generate funds to maintain the parade.
  5. To unite the Body of Christ.
  6. To create an avenue where individuals and organizations can take ownership of the Jesus in the City Parade and ensure that it is sustained and becomes a part of the fabric of our city and society.
