BEST Tip of the Week
How many batteries does your business go through? How do you know when its cost-effective to buy rechargeable batteries rather than throw-aways? Here is a thumbnail calculation: divide the number of batteries you waste in a given year by the number of batteries total in your business (plus a few for backup purposes). For example, if you throw away 120 batteries in a year and you need 36 batteries in your business, this would be 120 divided by 36, or 3.3. That is how many times you will recharge (or replace) an average battery in a year. The higher this number is, the more you will get out of rechargeable batteries. It is suggested that if your number is over 2, look seriously at getting high quality rechargeables into rotation. If it is more than 4, you should definitely get good rechargeables in rotation.
