FEATURED BUSINESS
OF THE MONTH

  Fredericktown Yamaha

"Where the fun begins!"

We are pleased to announce that FREDERICKTOWN YAMAHA is our featured business of the month.

Owner Richard Riley has been around motorcycles all his life and if there is one thing he has learned about the business, it's that the customer is #1.  If you know Richard, it's obvious.

Here is just one of his many faithful customers putting it in their own words:

"From start to finish, this was the smoothest purchase. Everyone made me feel right at home and was always willing to take time away (no matter how busy) to talk and answer questions. Simply put, I won't go anywhere else... "   John    Sterling,VA

What a perfect time of year to get back on a motorcycle!  Feel the breeze in your face and the feeling of freedom as you hug the turns cruising through springtime in the mountains and valleys.  If you've ever thought about moving up to a new bike, or maybe experiencing the thrill of owning your first motorcycle, stop by Fredericktown Yamaha and tell Richard Riley and his team that AM1450 sent you!

NOTE:  AM1450 and Fredericktown Yamaha are partnering once again to bring you the oldest 1/2 mile track motorcycle race in America.....the 91st running of the Barbara Fritchie Classic.  Richard Riley will be up in the tower at trackside again this year bringing you all the play by play action.  That's the Barbara Fritchie Classic 2013 - July 4th at the Frederick Fairgrounds

Allen Warren Outdoors

With summer just around the corner, sharpen those hooks, get out the camping gear and put on the hiking boots because Allen Warren will guide you through everything outdoors and more, every Saturday at 8am on AM1450 your Source for the great outdoors.
Dear Loyal Listener,

Spring has been slow in coming this year, but May is here and the woods, gardens and surrounding landscapes are exploding with color.   My personal favorite is the Redbud tree.  You can see the delicate purple flowers all through the mountain forests.  Native to America, our early American settlers used the leaves in salads and believed the bark to be medicinal, even said to cure cancer.  The tree grows to only a height of 15 to 30 feet with a mere 20 year life span.  Legend has it that the redbud is the tree that Judas hanged himself upon, often referred to as the "Judas Tree", but there is a distinct difference between the Eastern Redbud and its distant Mediterranean cousin.  Anyway, I think they are beautiful.

Don't forget to tune in this May to Easy Organic Gardening, Saturdays at 4pm on AM1450 The Source to learn more about this special time of year, growing, planting and enjoying the beautiful creation that God has given us and the explosion of life that we call May and be sure to checkout the events listed below to find some really fun things to do this month.
