OUT OF THE WHIRLWIND
AND INTO THE UNKNOWN

This Sunday is a wonderful time for the youth at Marietta First United Methodist Church. They will assist in leading worship for both services from music, reading the Scripture and speaking to the congregation. This group is truly amazing. They lead with a servant heart, desire for Christ and their love for this church and community. Over the past year, the youth served not only in their schools but also in a variety of places, some of those places are New Orleans, St. Simons, Cobb County, Chimbote, Peru and London. These youth continually arise to each challenge that is placed before them. The youth that will be speaking this Sunday have chosen the theme, "Out of the whirlwind and into the unknown" taken from Job 38. We cannot find a teenager who is not in some type of whirlwind or searching through unknown. So we encourage you this Sunday to "lean in" with our students, listen to what they have to say and engage in their conversation. During their Baptism and Confirmation, we made vows as a congregation to, "so order our lives after the example of Christ, that these young people, surrounded by steadfast love, may be established in the faith, and confirmed and strengthened in the way that leads to life eternal." So let's do that this Sunday.
