YOUTH SUNDAY

This Sunday is a remarkable day in the life of our church. Today is a day that we recognize the Youth and their ministry here at First United Methodist Church of Marietta. The Youth have seen and served a great number in ministry this year by traveling to Kentucky, south Georgia, North Carolina, Peru, Arizona, and all over the Cobb County area to spread the love and message of Christ. We have learned about different social justice issues that the church is facing and how we can be equipped to speak for the outcast and oppressed people of today. The students have started a garden on Grogan Street, in Marietta, for the community and it is flourishing with vegetables for the neighborhood. Taking all that we have learned in mission and applying it in our daily lives is the goal of this year, living in Christian Community. It has led to students serving the Lord in their schools by serving on FCA committees and leading other students to praise the Lord in their daily lives.

The Youth are excited to be leading in worship on this day and share their thoughts through Philippians 1:21-30! We are humbled by your love for our students and we want to express our gratitude for making this ministry possible at Marietta FUMC.

We serve a loving God and want to be the light on a hill shining the love of Jesus Christ into the darkness!

We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday,
