ntense study for membership since early September. Twenty-five will be received at 9:00 and nineteen at 11:15 for a total of forty-four young people! We are deeply grateful to the leaders of the Confirmation Class, the mentors, coaches, and parents who have brought us to this day. Pray for these young people:

The United Methodist Women will host the Mission Extravaganza on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Hall. Rev. Jasmine Smothers, Associate Director of Connectional Ministries for the North Georgia Conference, will be the speaker. (Beverly McCrary, ext. 7835)

Our annual Daddy and Daughter Valentine's Dance is Friday, February 7 from 6-8 p.m. in the Family Life Hall. Coffee and Chocolate for Valentine's Day! The United Methodist Women will sell organic coffee and organic chocolate on two Sundays, February 2 and 9 on the Bridge and at the Reception Desk. All proceeds go to support UMW Mission Projects.

Learn how you can be a part of our 2014 mission team to the Republic of Georgia. An informational dinner about our ongoing work with a school for internally displaced persons in Tblisi, Georgia will be held on Wednesday, February 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 104. The Drama Ministry Team announces auditions for "Swing Out Saturday Night," an exciting new production coming to the Family Life Hall on March 22. Art From the Heart to benefit Weekday Ministry will be held Saturday, March 1 from 6-9 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 117 North Park Square, on the Marietta Square. Join our preschool and kindergarten at this annual fundraiser that is centered around art created by Weekday Ministry children as well as adult artists. (Nancy Tatnall, ext. 7842)

This Sunday is Confirmation Sunday. Our 2014 Confirmation Class will be honored at a dinner on Saturday, February 1 at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Hall. Souper Bowl of Caring is this Sunday, February 2. This Sunday, our youth are raising money for HavenATL, an organization working against human trafficking in metro Atlanta.
