Good Morning ,
Welcome to our November 2014 Club Newsletter. This months (bumper) edition includes an inspiring article from Julie and Derek who took their topaz mist Figaro named 'Audrey' to France. It sounds like they had a holiday of a lifetime. Surely there's a lesson here for us all not to be afraid to clock up some mileage and use our figs more for holidays and maybe venture into Europe occasionally... Ever thought of sound deadening your Figaro? No, me nether, however having read the information sent in by John Cooper (aka eatmorefish) it may now be on my 'TO DO' list. The article takes you through the technology behind the process and how John fitted it into his car.

The Figaro Parking Stick Another wonderfully quirky Figaro accessory. (Rumor has it that the reason it was offered was due to the average height of the Japanese women '5ft 2" meant it was hard for them to see the front of the car so the stick helped them park in tight spots). People constantly asking questions about them; If you have one on your car what the funniest? Join in the conversation on our facebook fan page. Click here

Revs Pulse in P and Car Almost Stalls When Driving Uphill
|
QUESTION Hi, I have recently got my figgy Lady P back on the road (feels great!) but have noticed that my brake warning light has been switching on and off whilst I'm driving. My handbrake is definitely off, I have checked the brake fluid levels and whilst these are closer to min than max ( I intent to get this topped up) they are not low, and she just passed her MOT with flying colours. Any suggestions as to what the cause could be? Any advice greatly appreciated! Thanks.
ANSWERTopped up my brake fluid and the light has gone out! Read more Note: You need to be logged in

QUESTION Can someone tell me what make of brake pads are good, or are cheap ones just a good.
ANSWERI've just fitted new front pads, I used ADL Blue print ADN142100 Was told they are better than Apec around 21 a pair. You can get these on ebay or through your local motor factor. Read more Note: You need to be logged in

QUESTION My wife's Fig has always had problems with idling and holding revs while driving around town. I've tried numerous things with it including changing the Lambda sensor and increasing the idle speed but it still sort of pulses from 900 up to 1200 revs and back again when stationary and almost stalls sometimes when going up a hill.
ANSWER Had one with the same sort of symptoms and it was the blanking plug on the small pipe at the back of the intake chamber missing. Also does it make any difference with the windows down

ABOUT THE CLUB
|
Our Mission Statement "to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"
So how did the club start? My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born! We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries! Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.
