NEW GOOGLE+ CLUB PAGE

Okay we know what you're thinking... Why create yet another website when we already have a strong web presence and just who uses Google+ anyway? That's what we thought until we started using it and as a club it does have some really neat features, one of which is the 'profile panel' which appears on the right hand area of the Google Search page. The events pages also work well and its linked to YouTube so all our videos are available. Of course Google+ will never compete with Facebook but it does benefit from no annoying adverts or company promotions!  Click here

Dash makes squeaky noises
Leak
Dashboard Clock Wrong Time
Hey all, Has anyone else noticed that the top of their dash sometimes makes creaking or vibrating noises? The green fig did on the passenger's side. It'd stop if you pressed down on it. The new fig is the same on the driver side and it seems to only happen if the car is warm on the inside from being parked in the sun. Now I know parking in the sun can cause the dash to split, I intend on dealing with the issue by using a windscreen deflector. I was wondering would tightening the dash on top help? It sounds like the dash rubbing against the window or something. It's not particularly loud, but it's just one of those things that irk me a teeny bit. Thanks! Em.

Probably what they have done is recover the dash because it split. They do it over the top of the exiting as it's stuck to the foam so it makes it all thicker and so the holes are smaller and things don't fit as well. There are small clips which hold it in see below. They may have broken off or just not fitted in properly. Be very careful as they are easy broken. You may get away with carefully gluing it, but to refit the vent properly you may have to remove the dash to make adjustments to the surround.

We brought our new fig home on Saturday but haven't driven her yet as haven't needed or been able to (crazy work times!) Anyway when I got home yesterday I noticed that there was fluid on the floor underneath where she was. The ground is on a slant so I can't say for sure exactly where it's coming from but it's a clear fluid, slightly oily to the touch and doesn't smell. I *think* (thanks to internet research) that it might be power steering fluid. So I'm wondering, is it safe to drive? I've got it booked in for a health check at the figaro shop on the 28th June but I'll need to get it over there! Thankfully it's not too far from me, about half an hour but I'm unlikely to be able to get there before the 28th due to work and other stuff/ timings if it is an urgent thing to be sorted etc. Is it something that a regular garage could sort for me? Thank you!

Power steering fluid is pinkish or darker if it's dirty. Maybe brake fluid as that's clear. Difficult to say what it is without seeing it and where it's coming from, is it a lot? Have you checked all the levels? (steering, oil, brake fluid, coolant)? Best if you do that and maybe work out based on the floor slant where the highest point on the floor which is where the leak starts and see whats directly above it. Maybe take some pics. If you not sure then yes get a garage to check it over, but before you commit to anything come back and advise us what they say as depending what it is the Fig Shop is probably best placed to fix it.

Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this , I've only had my car 10 days and no problems so far except for this one. My Figaro Clock is working, but showing the wrong time. I read the A/Z and found a similar question but not enough info to help me. The clock has a little stick thing with a screw on the end, do I need to unscrew this to change the time ? Thanks in advance Linda

ABOUT THE CLUB

Our Mission Statement
"to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"

So how did the club start?
My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born!
We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries!

Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.

Warmest Regards
