Hi ,
and welcome to our May 2014 Nissan Figaro Owners Club Newsletter.

OWNERS HELP RAISE A WHOPPING 605 AT THE ACE CAFE
With the chance of winning a holiday or exclusive Figaro watch (not to mention a host of other fantastic donated prizes) we were very hopeful that members would dig deep to raise money for the clubs chosen charity CLIC at last month's event. However even we couldn't believe the amount taken in raffle ticket sales. Indeed one winner made his feelings well known by telling everyone that the bottle of plonk he'd just won had cost him 50! But it was all taken in a great spirit and as I pointed out to everyone 'It's not the winning but the taking part that counts'  Thanks a million to everyone for supporting such a great charity.

CARFEST NORTH & SOUTH MEMBER OFFER
We have a small number of spaces available for members who would like to exhibit their car in our 'Figaro Static Display' and attend these exclusive events in aid of Children in Need.

The ticket cost will be just 85 and this will provide parking in our Figaro Display and two tickets for all 3 days! That's a saving of 125. There is also an option to camp and buy additional day tickets for the 50 each.
To qualify you must be a member of the club and be prepared to park your Figaro in our Static Club Display for all 3 days. Read More

Seen on FIGARO TRADER
We really like the colour of this Figaro.
It's Miami Blue and is very unusual. Great condition, imported & refurbished by the Figaro Factory in 2007, only 7,000 since.

New MOT, taxed in eye catching Miami Blue. Garaged & used on sunny days only great example. read more

Engine running hot
HELP! I used a scourer on the paintwork!
I buckled/bent the top boot
My engine's been running hot ever since Ace Cafe, I've done longer trips than that and we even took that fairly leisurely so I'm not sure why it's started to run hot, it gets even hotter while I'm waiting for the turbo to cool down, reaches half way point when I do this after 15m of driving :S any ideas before I call the garage?

About halfway on the gauge is 'Normal' position ,how far up was it going before ,do you hear the fan cutting in? has the coolant level gone down? If in any doubt get someone to check it. nick

HELP! I was a very silly lady and having not been able to shift some pretty stubborn marks from the exterior of my car, I resorted to a green kitchen scourer and some washing up liquid (as you can tell i'm not very good with my car knowledge!) I managed to remove the marks, but have been left with some light scratches and also cloudy patches :o I am devastated! Please someone tell me that A) I'm not the only person who's done this B) There is an easy solution such as polish??? HELP!

Evening folks, Just a warning fro everyone. I went to a car show on Tueday night . car show pics Great show nearly 500 cars there I recon. The only stippulation for the show is you must have chrome bumpers. So I take the roof down & clip it in. then at the end of the evening i put the roof back up & lock it down then go around the back & close the top boot & drive home. Wednesday morning I open the garage & the boot just doesn't look right. On closer inspection i discover that when I closed it the previous evening the one of the clips had got stuck inbetween the boot lid & the gutter close to one the boots chrome hinges. so the lid is now slightly buckled. I recon i'll be able to fix it but thought i warn everyone to be carefull. i'll put photos up later

I've always thought this must be what's happened to mine in its past life as I have a funny little 'outwards' dent in my top boot! Not too noticeable however. A friend tried to help me (!) last summer by closing the top boot for me, but the same thing happened and the buckle snapped in half. Didn't dent the lid this time thank goodness but yes, defo one worth bearing in mind....

ABOUT THE CLUB

Our Mission Statement
"to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"

So how did the club start?
My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born!
We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries!

Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.

Warmest Regards
