It was over 5 years ago now that we produced our very first 'Figaro Owners Club Logo' and we felt with the introduction of 'Figaro Trader' and our other existing 'Figaro' related sites an update and brand association was required to pull everything together so below are the set of new logos...

Improve the handling of your Figaro by fitting a Strut Brace. The brace fits on the existing mounts and is easy to fit with NO adjustment of modification is required. How to fit a Low Coolant Alarm. Thanks to Simon for this excellent post. 'A common issue with Figaro's or head/gasket/piston damage caused failure of hoses, thereby causing loss of coolant and over heating. Auto cut-off problem
Electric Window Relay
Key stuck in ignition
I've had this problem since I bought my car but it's only just becoming annoying as the weather is cold! I have serious issues getting any petrol into my Figaro at all. It can be on empty and when I go to fill up the automatic cut-off thing starts clicking straight away. It can take me a good 15 minutes to get even 10 worth of petrol in the tank as it just constantly clicks as if the tank is full. The only petrol pumps which will actually fill it up properly are the newer petrol stations (my local Morrisons is the only one round here which will work), but even then the tank gets to 3/4 full and it cuts out as if it's full. It didn't bother me too much in the summer however now I can't stand it as it's so cold! I've read about holding the nozzle upside-down, which I will try next time I fill up, however even so, surely this shouldn't be happening? I mentioned it to the garage I bought the car from when I went to get a few other bits fixed, however the mechanic just had a look with a torch and said there shouldn't be a problem filling up... Any ideas would be appreciated!

It's quite normal for the pump to cut off if you put it in the normal way, as the filler hole is so wide that you don't get the right angle on the nozzle & it "blows back," telling the pump that the tank is full. Just turn the nozzle 180 deg & you'll have no trouble. Some time ago there were restrictors you could fit to the filler hole to correct the problem but they weren't secure & came off frequently.

I have just done battle replacing my drivers side electric window motor, which was refusing to come down, quite a frustrating task when it is stuck in the up position. Having changed the motor over it still is refusing to come down unless I swap over the polarity, I checked the old motor and it is fine....... ( frustrating). I assume that the problem is therefore with the window motor relay - is this the black box that is attached in the bottom corner of the drivers side door ? ( this is clicking when I try to reverse the window). And where do I get these from and how much ? Lessons learned Great club Regards Pete H

Hi Pete, Yes it is in the door, but it's more than a relay. Yes, if the motor is working one way then it's OK, as the box reverses the polarity. Below is the circuit diagram.

Hi All Gurus and Informed people. I am a new member and new to the forum we have recently purchased a beautiful new lapis Figaro (daisy) she has a few minor problems needs care and love, but one is troubling me can someone please help me ? I have a problem with being unable to withdraw the key from the ignition barrel - I can see what it is but do not know how to rectify. When the key is turned back to position 1 this should trigger the metal tag above the push button and allow the push button to be pressed, however this is not happening. I can manually move the tag on the side of the barrel back down and then withdraw but it will not happen automatically.

Just to cover the obvious first - there is an interlock that prevents key withdrawal unless you are in Park. If you are in P then I'm sure a guru will soon let us know how to sort out an interlock failure...

ABOUT THE CLUB

Our Mission Statement
"to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"

So how did the club start?
My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born!
We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries!

Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.

Warmest Regards
